The device converts the HDMI signal to VGA signal and 2 Audio (Stereo) channels. It is a perfect solution if you want to connect a HDMI device to a VGA device and have audio also. Great for sending a laptop or home cinema device to a non-HDMI projector and have audio going to a sound system.

This product is also an ideal solution for extracting audio from HDMI.
